It is difficult for many exceptional and talented photographers to reach a buyer audience. The mission of WonderPick is to provide continued exposure for work selected for the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards following their gallery exhibition. Through its extensive marketing WonderPick Gallery will present the work of the WPGA artists' to a worldwide, appreciative and buying audience.
Offered in both limited and large editions, prizes will be affordable for almost everyone, starting at less than 50 dollars per print; with limited editions produced in larger sizes for those who want a certificate of authenticity and a signed print by the author. Images by WPGA awarded photographers' will be showcased in WonderPIck Gallery at no charge and receive a 40% commission on their sold art.
Within two weeks after the final decision of the Jurors, the WonderPick Gallery, a sponsor and strategic partner of WPGA, will post the selections. It will contain the images of the nominees, merit awards, and winners of the WPGA 2009 Annual Juried Competition. In the future, other selected works from the quarterly WPGA contests will be hosted in the WonderPick Gallery.
Participation in the WonderPick Gallery is optional and at no cost to artists whose work is selected by the jurors. WPG will display thumbnails of the images, with the ability to enlarge them for better viewing, together with a bio and statement by the participating artists, and in some cases, statements from the jurors.
From time to time master photographers and selected photographers will be invited to post their images in the WonderPick Gallery.
Sales are directly online, or in auctions, especially when an edition is coming to an end. In the future WonderPick Gallery is expected to hold period exhibitions of selected images and in physical galleries in different cities of the world.
Proceeds from the sales are applied according to the following formula: 40% to the artist, and a 10% donation to a rotating charity organization or specific humanitarian projects chosen by the WPG.
More detailed information and respective invitations and rules will be sent to the selected awardees in the WPGA 2009 Annual Juried Competition.
